Backed by top-tier investors and a team of passionate engineers, clinicians, and entrepreneurs across France and the US, we’re now looking for a Senior Data Scientist to join the core R&D team and lead the development of the embedded intelligence.

Your Role: Lead the AI that walks with us

As our Senior Data Scientist, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying embedded AI models that power DREEVEN’s intelligent movement. You will turn high-frequency sensor data into real-time decision-making and adaptive control, deploying an AI system that learns from and responds to each user’s gait.This is a unique opportunity to build something deeply meaningful, technically complex, and at the frontier of robotics, medtech, and artificial intelligence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Model Development
    • Design and train Machine Learning and Deep Learning models for classification, prediction, and control.
    • Analyze time-series data from IMUs, pressure sensors, encoders, and other onboard systems.
  • Embedded AI Integration
    • Collaborate with embedded engineers to deploy models on-device using optimized runtimes.
    • Ensure models run in real-time with high performance and robustness on embedded systems.
  • ML Ops & Infrastructure
    • Build and maintain end-to-end ML pipelines from data collection to model deployment and monitoring.
    • Leverage cloud tools for training, experimentation, and logging.
  • Collaboration & Research
    • Work cross-functionally with hardware, software, and clinical teams.
    • Contribute to scientific research, patents, and publications as relevant.
    • Conduct ongoing tech watch and stay up-to-date with the latest in AI, RL, and robotics.
  • Validation & Iteration
    • Participate in user testing and clinical trials to validate model performance.
    • Continuously improve algorithms based on real-world usage and edge cases.

What We’re Looking For

Must-Have Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years of professional experience in Data ScienceML Engineering, or Robotics AI.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, or similar.
  • Experience in MatLab or Simulink.
  • Strong Python skills, including use of TensorFlow or PyTorch.
  • Strong understanding of reinforcement learning principles and techniques.
  • Experience with embedded AI models on target (microprocessors and/or microcontrollers).
  • Solid experience in time-series analysis and predictive modeling.
  • Knowledge of signal processing and sensor data analysis.
  • Familiar with ML Ops workflows and deployment on embedded systems.
  • Proficient in SQL, data wrangling, and sensor data analytics.
  • Proven ability to work independently and drive projects from ideation to deployment.
  • Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
  • Project Management: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken) – B2 level or higher.

 

Bonus Points (Nice-to-Have)

  • Experience with Isaac Sim from Nvidia or other physics-based simulators.
  • Knowledge of mechatronics or embedded systems (Arduino, Jetson, Raspberry Pi).
  • Background in signal processing for IMUs or biomechanical data.
  • Prior experience in medical devices or wearable robotics.

Compensation: 45K€ – 60K€
